Costa Rica?

ABout US

We are Josh and Rachel Swift, and we serve in Costa Rica with two ministries: ProMETA and Sojourn Christian School International.

Missions have shaped our story from the beginning. We met while serving on a short-term mission trip in Guatemala, and Latin America has remained close to our hearts ever since. Over the years, we have continued to ask how God can use our skills and passions to serve His kingdom.

In 2023, our home church in Ludington shared about a missionary couple serving in Costa Rica. Through that connection, we learned about ProMETA and Sojourn.

ProMETA is an online seminary that equips Spanish-speaking pastors and Christian leaders across Latin America. Sojourn is a bilingual Christian school that serves both local and international families.

After our visit in 2024, it became clear that God could use our backgrounds in media and education to support these ministries, so we took a step of faith and moved to Costa Rica in the summer of 2025.

Our Vision

We see this season in Costa Rica as an opportunity to serve with purpose, creativity, and compassion.

A key part of that vision is helping launch a Media Department for ProMETA. We want to support the development of strong media systems, clear communication, and meaningful storytelling that help ProMETA reach and equip more leaders across Latin America.

Our goal is to support the work God is already doing and to invest in people in ways that have lasting impact.

What We Do

Josh serves with ProMETA. He uses his experience in filmmaking, storytelling, and media strategy to support communication, training, and outreach. His work helps ProMETA clearly communicate its mission and strengthen its ability to serve leaders across Latin America.

Rachel serves on the early childhood team at Sojourn Christian School International. She supports teachers and students, helps create a safe and caring learning environment, and works especially closely with children from cross-cultural and missionary families.
